The Natural Resources and Environment Magazine brings Tet gifts to Quan Ba, Ha Giang

TN&MTOn January 11, 2025, as part of the program "A warm spring for border communities", the Natural Resources and Environment Magazine (under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) collaborated with Nghia Thuan Border Guard Station and business leaders to distribute over 500 gift packages in Quan Ba, Ha Giang. This meaningful and humanitarian initiative aims to support the livelihoods of people in border areas during the Lunar New Year 2025.

The program was attended by Dr. Dao Xuan Hung, Editor-in-Chief of the Natural Resources and Environment Magazine; Mr. Phan Anh Hung, Secretary of the Quan Ba District Party Committee; Captain Phung Ngoc Hieu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Nghia Thuan Border Station; Major Sung Minh Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of Nghia Thuan Border Station; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ha, Deputy General Director of Hoang Ha Forever Trading Company; Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen, Chairwoman of Thang Long Group; Ms. Sam Minh Hue, Director of Son Tung Auto; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hang, Executive Director of Happyvivu Company; officers of Nghia Thuan Border Station, and residents of Quan Ba, Ha Giang.

In his opening speech, Major Sung Minh Phuc emphasized that the Lunar New Year is Vietnam’s most cherished traditional celebration—a time for families to reunite, enjoy sacred and joyful moments together, and welcome a promising new year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen, Chairwoman of Thang Long Group, shared: "As the nation welcomes the Spring of At Ty 2025, we are honored to take part in this program organized by the Natural Resources and Environment Magazine. Our goal is to help local residents enjoy a warm and prosperous Tet, while also supporting border guards in their duty to safeguard national sovereignty. Our delegation will distribute 500 gift packages to students and disadvantaged families in Quan Ba, Ha Giang. Each package includes a blanket, 10 kg of rice, a Tet gift bag, and a 600,000 VND scholarship for students. Additionally, businesses have contributed 11 million VND to the officers of Nghia Thuan Border Station.

Dr. Dao Xuan Hung, along with sponsors, personally handed over gifts to students who have overcome hardships to excel in their studies.

The organizing committee also presented Tet gifts to disadvantaged families.

The program aimed to promote the implementation of the Party and State’s policies for those who have contributed to the nation and those facing difficult circumstances.

It also sought to expand charitable initiatives within local communities, mobilizing social resources to improve the material and spiritual well-being of people in need.

The event featured cultural performances and the promotion of initiatives such as "Joining hands for the poor – Ensuring no one is left behind" and "Supporting students' education."

These gifts not only improved the living conditions of border residents, ensuring that no one is left behind, but also strengthened the bond between the military and the people.

At the end of the program, the organizing committee, businesses, and benefactors personally distributed gifts to each household in an atmosphere of warmth and excitement.The program left a lasting impression on ethnic communities in Ha Giang’s border regions and the border guards stationed there.

The delegation, led by Dr. Dao Xuan Hung, visited the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery in Ha Giang to pay tribute to fallen soldiers

The program also featured a variety of activities, including free medical check-ups and medicine distribution, cultural and sports exchanges, a Chung cake-making contest, charity stalls, campfire gatherings, and the distribution of gifts, essential supplies, and scholarships. These activities provided meaningful support to impoverished families and students, uplifting both the local community and border guards as they prepared for the New Year. This initiative reinforced military-civilian solidarity and contributed to strengthening national defense along the country’s frontiers.
