TN&MTOn October 22, in Phu Tho province, the Agriculture and Environment Magazine (under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) in coordination with the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee and Toyota Motor Vietnam held the launching ceremony of the program “For a Green Vietnam” 2025. The program aims to raise public awareness and encourage individuals and businesses to take proactive action in tree planting, environmental protection, and greenhouse gas emission reduction, thereby contributing to the development of green agriculture and the national efforts in climate change adaptation.

Thanks to the concerted efforts of the entire society, Vietnam’s forest coverage rate has reached over 42%, placing the country among those with the highest forest cover in the region.

Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien affirmed that tree planting is not merely a symbolic campaign but a practical action reflecting Vietnam’s strong commitment to environmental protection and climate change response.

He called on all levels of government, sectors, enterprises, and citizens to continue spreading the spirit that “Planting one more tree means one more act to protect the environment.” Tree planting and care should become a habit, a shared responsibility, and a gift for future generations. Each tree planted today contributes to emission reduction, ecosystem balance, and the realization of Vietnam’s Net Zero by 2050 commitment.
He further noted that the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will continue to cooperate with ministries, sectors, local authorities, enterprises, and social organizations to expand the tree planting movement, linking it with green economy development, the circular economy, and carbon emission reduction.

“This is not only the responsibility of the agricultural and environmental sector but a shared mission of the entire society, to act together for a green, clean, and sustainable Vietnam,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.

Every resident of Phuc Yen today will be a ‘Green Ambassador’, nurturing love for nature and a sense of environmental responsibility for a sustainable future.
