This year’s festival holds special significance as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Victory of Buon Ma Thuot and the liberation of Dak Lak Province (March 10, 1975 – March 10, 2025). Beyond celebrating coffee growers, processors, and traders, the event aims to elevate the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand on the global stage and reinforce the city’s ambition to become the "World’s coffee capital." The festival also drives economic growth, tourism, and social development in Dak Lak while enhancing Vietnam’s coffee industry on the global stage.

Alongside signature events such as the opening and closing ceremonies, the street festival, and the international trade conference, this year’s edition introduces several new highlights. Notable additions include a digital content creation contest promoting the festival online, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Trung Nguyen Legend Energy Coffee Factory, and the “Companion and Sharing” coffee camping festival at the historic CADA Plantation in Krong Pac District. The event will also highlight Dak Lak’s tourism potential, encourage investment in coffee and agriculture, and celebrate the Central Highlands' rich cultural heritage, particularly the UNESCO-recognized Gong Cultural Space.
