MV debut "Rung khoc" by Cao Phu Quy
Composed by musician Nam Cuong, the song "Rung khoc" won the second prize at the Vietnam Musicians Association Awards 2023. Over the years, climate change and human activities, such as deforestation, have caused erratic weather patterns, leading to the destruction of thousands of hectares of forests in Vietnam. Forest fires have become a serious national issue that requires a stronger collective effort from both governmental bodies and the public through specific and clear actions to protect the forests. This concern was a major inspiration for Nam Cuong to create the meaningful song "Rung khoc".
According to People's Artist Pham Ngoc Khoi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, the MV "The Forest Weeps" is not only for young singer Phú Quý but also for all nature lovers who desire a Green - Clean - Beautiful environment. Sharing with the media, Phu Quy expressed that following the release of "Rung khoc," the 6th-grade student plans to engage in more practical activities, such as participating in reforestation efforts with youth groups in several northern provinces. Phu Quy hopes his singing will inspire Vietnamese youth to be more conscious of forest protection.
