IWEC reviews progress and sets course for Q4 2024
24/09/2024TN&MTOn September 17th in Hà Nội, the IWEC Q4/2024 Planning Conference was held. Organized by the International Women Entrepreneurs Council (IWEC), the event marks a significant milestone for the community of women entrepreneurs in the months ahead.
The event was attended by IWEC’s Executive Board, Advisory Board, members, and numerous special guests. In her opening remarks, Mrs. Le Thi Minh Hoa, President of IWEC, said, “This conference is not only an opportunity to review our achievements but also to outline directions for trade activities and international network development in Q4 2024.”

The conference focused on promoting international trade connections and fostering cooperation among councils, organizations, and associations in Q4/2024. Projects and agreements will be implemented efficiently through IWEC’s coordination, helping to expedite negotiations and partnerships between stakeholders.

Mrs. Vu Thi Thanh Loan, Vice President of IWEC, stressed the importance of seizing trade opportunities, citing the successful Vietnam-China and Thailand business connection program in August 2024. She also revealed upcoming plans, including cooperation agreements with women entrepreneurs’ associations in Beijing and the Philippines, set for September and October 2024.

Meanwhile, IWEC remains committed to expanding its network of women entrepreneurs, both internationally and domestically. The network is set to extend across 63 provinces and three countries, bringing together businesses from diverse industries. The aim is to support enterprises in improving product and service quality to meet market demands. Additionally, IWEC will enhance legal education and awareness for its members.

During the conference, the International Women Entrepreneurs Council held a ceremony to welcome new members, officially introducing outstanding women entrepreneurs to the organization. This is a key step toward expanding IWEC's network, allowing new members to engage in both international and domestic trade activities while benefiting from IWEC’s support and development programs.

As part of the event, IWEC called on guests and members to join hands in supporting communities affected by storms and floods in Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang provinces. The IWEC Charity Fund will directly deliver gifts and cash to students and women impacted by the disasters.
In response to the hardships faced by the people of Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai following the devastation of Storm No. 3, Mrs. Pham Thi Mai Phương, Vice President of IWEC, launched a fundraising campaign involving all conference members and guests.
The contributions from benefactors will be used to provide timely assistance to families severely impacted, including those who have suffered significant damage to homes, property, and livelihoods. All funds and donations raised will be personally delivered by IWEC to affected communities in Yen Bai and Tuyen Quang on September 19th.

Looking ahead, IWEC plans to host several key events, including a Marathon for environmental protection in Hai Phong, in collaboration with Vietnam Television, in October 2024; participation in a Festival in Ninh Binh, alongside signing cooperation agreements with local associations in November 2024; and the "Honoring - Graceful Women Entrepreneurs" event in December 2024 to recognize the contributions of outstanding women entrepreneurs.
The conference concluded with lively discussions, marking a new step in IWEC’s ongoing efforts to foster trade connections and expand its network in the near future.
