Improving policies and enhancing land management and land use effectiveness

TN&MTRecently, the Government issued Resolution No. 37/NQ-CP on March 17, 2023, which releases the Government's Action Program for implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the fifth Central Party Committee meeting of the XIIIth Party Congress on the continued renovation, improvement of institutions and policies, and enhancement of land management and land use effectiveness.

The purpose of the resolution

The purpose of this resolution is to successfully implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022, of the fifth Central Party Committee meeting of the XIIIth Party Congress. It defines clear tasks and responsibilities for each Party committee, Party organization, government agency, unit, particularly the responsibilities of leaders. This will help develop action plans, implement, monitor, supervise, and evaluate the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW to achieve the highest effectiveness and fulfill intended objectives.

The resolution outlies 5 key tasks and solutions, such as:

Raise awareness among officials, Party members and the public regarding land management and land use in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy.

Enhance institutional and policy frameworks for land management and land use in line with the development of a socialist-oriented market economy.

Promote administrative reforms, digital transformation and enhance the state management capacity in land affairs.

Innovate and strengthen inspection, examination, supervision, and handling of violations; resolve disputes, complaints, and accusations related to land; tighten discipline, ethics, and anti-corruption measures.

Focus on addressing fundamental, long-standing limitations, shortcomings, and obstacles in land management and land use.
