
Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment disseminates the 2024 Land Law in Da Nang City
02/08/2024TN&MTOn May 23, the People's Committee of Da Nang City organized a conference to disseminate and provide training on the 2024 Land Law and to address challenges related to land management within the city.
Attending the conference were Deputy Minister Le Minh Ngan and leaders from various departments and agencies under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. From Da Nang City, participants included Secretary of Da Nang City's Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang, leaders of the Standing Committee of the City People's Council, the People's Committee of Da Nang City, along with 600 delegates representing local government officials and land management personnel.
Strengthening land policy and institutional framework
In his opening remarks, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, Ho Ky Minh, emphasized the importance of implementing the 2024 Land Law, a priority for the city's leaders, particularly Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, who has urged the city to quickly disseminate the law to the public.

The People's Committee has identified this initiative as one of the key political tasks for 2024 in the field of natural resources and environment, aligning with the directives from the Prime Minister and the City Party Committee.
The People's Committee issued Decision No. 981/QD-UBND, outlining a plan to implement the 2024 Land Law. This plan includes four key task groups, with the dissemination and training of the law as a top priority. Relevant departments and agencies have been instructed to promptly organize and implement these tasks.
Mr. Ho Ky Minh noted that the implementation of the 2013 Land Law over the past decade has led to significant progress, creating a comprehensive legal framework for the rational, economical, and efficient use of land. However, challenges such as land valuation, site clearance, compensation, support, resettlement, and the establishment and management of land data systems remain.

The 2024 Land Law, which consists of 16 chapters and 260 articles, introduces new regulations that are expected to significantly impact Da Nang's socio-economic development and address various issues in land management and related fields.
“To bring the 2024 Land Law into practical application and support Da Nang's sustainable socio-economic development, we encourage all participants to attentively understand the new points of the law. We also invite you to discuss and suggest any issues that need further clarification based on your practical management experience,” Mr. Ho Ky Minh said.
Implementing the 2024 Land Law
Deputy Minister Le Minh Ngan praised Da Nang's contributions to the drafting of legal documents and the management of state affairs in natural resources and environment. He highlighted the city's effective collaboration during the drafting, commenting, amending, and supplementing phases of the 2024 Land Law, which was passed by the National Assembly on January 18, 2024.

The Prime Minister has issued urgent directives to ensure that the law is implemented promptly, recognizing its importance. Nationwide, efforts have been expedited to review legal documents, draft new regulations, and disseminate the 2024 Land Law.
Da Nang has been proactive in drafting legal documents and promoting the law's dissemination to ensure its timely implementation. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has advised the Government and the Prime Minister on decisions to implement the 2024 Land Law nationwide and has organized a national conference on its implementation.
The ministry has also coordinated with the Ministry of Justice to organize a conference on the law's implementation for the judicial sector and worked with the Central Propaganda and Training Commission to organize a national conference for key speakers. Additionally, the ministry has actively cooperated with localities to implement the law.
At the conference, Deputy Minister Le Minh Ngan presented key new aspects of the 2024 Land Law, highlighting over 95 areas that require further guidance in government and local regulations.
