Progress report on the development of national enviromental technical standards
On March 9th in Hanoi, the Environmental Pollution Control Department reported on the progress of developing national environmental technical standards. Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Vo Tuan Nhan, chaired the meeting and provided guidance.
The need for a unified concept of “water resources” before determining the name and object of regulation of the water resources law.
Resolution No. 50/2022 dated June 13, 2022, of the National Assembly mentions the addition of the Water Resources Law to the 2023 legislative program, adjusting the program for 2022. Accordingly, the amended Water Resources Law will be presented for the National Assembly's opinions during the 5th session and is scheduled for approval during the 6th session in 2023.
Monitoring the ash disposal site of the thermal power plant using remote sensing technology
Researchers of the National Remote Sensing Department have successfully researched and applied remote sensing technology in monitoring a number of environmental parameters in a thermal power plant, and at the same time developed and proposed suitable technologies to monitor PM10, PM2.5 pollution in the air, temperature and suspended solid content in water and fluctuations in ash disposal site and its cover at the area of the thermal power plant.
